Retractable glass roof projects by Aluminante
Homes, restaurants and a shopping center on SKYTECH
A wine cellar under mirror black glass, a seaside restaurant, a roof opening in a shopping center: these retractable glass roof projects all run on our SKYTECH system. The list also covers a loggia and a living room in private homes, several restaurants and a café. In Europe the same roof is often called an automatic or sliding glass roof.
Each roof was made to order. Panels of 36 mm double glazing slide on a Becker drive, and a remote opens the room to the sky or closes it when the weather turns.
Why restaurants choose a retractable roof
A retractable roof lets a restaurant or café use one terrace all year: open in summer, sealed and insulated in winter.
In several projects here the roof works together with frameless glazing around the perimeter. At the seaside restaurant it is SKYLINE guillotine glass, around a relaxation area in a private home it is ORIZZONTE sliding glass.
