The electric motor drives the glass panels, each of which can move independently. The design allows simultaneous opening of 2/3 of the sections. The sliding glass panel system opens and glides smoothly and silently. With a single press of the remote control, the roof can be fully opened, offering an unobstructed view of the sky, free from bulky structures and frames.
The system is available in three configurations:
- 2-panel (maximum projection up to 5 000 mm)
- 3-panel (projection up to 7 500 mm)
- 4-panel (projection up to 8 000 mm)

SKYTECH retractable glass roof
SKYTECH is a retractable glass roof for terraces, winter gardens and restaurants, also sold as a motorized glass roof. In Europe the same product is known as a sliding glass roof or an opening glass roof. Panels of 36 mm double glazing slide on a chain drive powered by a Becker motor, and part of the roof opens at the press of a remote.
Closed, the roof is sealed and insulated against rain, cold and street noise. Open, the guests sit under the sky and the room keeps its glass walls.

How the roof opens
The panels run on rails inside the beams and stack over each other as the roof opens, so nothing folds and nothing hangs. The drive is a chain, not a belt, which is what lets the system move 36 mm glass without a visible gantry.
A closed roof is a sealed one: gaskets between the panels and gutters inside the frame take the water to the posts. That is the difference from a canopy, and the reason SKYTECH is used over restaurant terraces that trade in winter.

It depends on the number of panels in the module. Each panel slides over its neighbor, so the more panels there are, the larger the open part becomes.
Is the roof insulated?
Yes. The glazing is a 36 mm double glazed unit, and the panels close onto gaskets, so the room holds heat in winter.
