Insulated Glass Roof for Winter Gardens and Verandas

PARETTI Thermo Pro Q43 is a thermally broken aluminum system for enclosing space with glass: an insulated roof, vertical glazing, and matching windows and doors. It is used for winter gardens, verandas, swimming pools and tennis courts. The insulated profile takes glass units from 26 to 46 mm, so the room holds its heat through the winter.

Warm and cold winter gardens

A warm winter garden is a heated room with insulated glazing, used all year: a dining space, a lounge, a pool hall, or a home for plants that need a stable temperature. A cold winter garden has no heating and works as a climate buffer: it extends the warm season and protects the facade behind it. Both are built on the same aluminum profile, and the choice changes the glazing and the ventilation, not the structure.

Insulated glass roof

PARETTI insulated glass roof

PARETTI Thermo Pro Q43 is an insulated glass roof for winter gardens, on a thermally broken aluminum system with matching vertical glazing, windows and doors. In Europe it is also called a warm glass roof.

It encloses verandas, winter gardens, swimming pools and tennis courts and keeps them warm through the winter. In the US a room like this is usually called a sunroom, so the roof is a sunroom glass roof; in the UK it is a conservatory roof.

Why insulated

What the insulated profile does

Bare aluminum conducts heat, so a roof made of it sweats in winter and heats up in summer. The PARETTI profile is thermally insulated, which stops that path.

Together with a 26 to 46 mm insulated glass unit, this is what turns a covered terrace into a room you can heat: no condensation running down the rafters, no cold radiating from the frame.

Where it is used

Winter gardens, pools and verandas

A steep pitch of up to 45 degrees sheds snow and lets the roof meet a tall facade, so PARETTI suits classic winter gardens as well as flat modern extensions.

For a pergola frame with a sealed glass roof rather than a full room, see ACURA Q27 Paretti. For an unheated fixed glass roof over a terrace, see PRADA.

FAQ

PARETTI: frequently asked questions

Is PARETTI warm enough for winter?

Yes, that is the point of the system. The profile is thermally insulated and the glazing is an insulated unit from 26 to 46 mm, so the room can be heated through the winter.

How steep can the roof be?

From 5 to 45 degrees, which covers both flat extensions and classic winter garden shapes.

Does the roof open?

No. PARETTI is a fixed insulated roof. For an opening glass roof see SKYTECH.

What is the difference from ACURA Q27 Paretti?

ACURA Q27 Paretti is a glass roof on a pergola frame, for a covered terrace. PARETTI Thermo Pro Q43 is a full insulated system, roof and walls, for a heated room.

Can it cover a swimming pool?

Yes. Pools and tennis courts are among its usual jobs, because the insulated profile handles the humidity and the heat loss.
