The Prada winter garden system includes an independent, integrated roof structure made of aluminum profiles. Our aluminum-glass roof consists of ridge and purlin beams, supported by continuous beam and column profiles. PRADA glass patio cover
PRADA is a glass patio cover on an aluminum frame for terraces, verandas and carports. It is a static glass roof: it does not open. Ridge and purlin beams carry tempered glass, or a double glazed unit from 10 to 36 mm, and gutters inside and outside the frame take the water away.
The pitch is set between 4 and 8 degrees on built-in hinges, which means the same system fits a flat modern facade and an older house with a taller wall. The same system also works as a winter garden glass roof. In the UK this product is usually called a glass veranda, and a glass roof patio or glass pergola roof are other common names.

Which glass to choose
Tempered glass of 10 or 12 mm is the usual choice for a carport or a summer terrace, and it breaks safely. For a simple, light cover the same frame takes polycarbonate panels instead of glass: a polycarbonate patio cover weighs much less than a 36 mm glass roof.
A double glazed unit of 20 or 36 mm belongs over a heated room. It cuts the heat in summer, holds it in winter and makes rain on the roof much quieter.
