How guillotine glazing works
SKYLINE is an automatic guillotine glazing system: the glass panels travel straight up on a motor and park inside the header or the floor, so the opening clears completely and nothing swings into the room or the terrace.
A wall button, a remote, a tablet or a phone moves the same panels in either direction. Because the motion is vertical rather than sideways, this vertical sliding glazing suits street fronts and narrow openings where a sliding or folding wall would have nowhere to stack the glass. Glass: tempered, insulated or thermal-break
Standard SKYLINE takes 8 to 10 mm tempered glass for a terrace that stays at outside temperature, or an insulated unit up to 22 mm where the panels also need to keep out drafts.
A room that has to hold heat through the winter needs the thermal-break version. SKYLINE Thermo adds a thermal break to the profile, and the insulated unit runs from 20 up to 36 mm. Structure size is sized per project.
Where SKYLINE is used
No one has to fold or slide anything by hand: a restaurant opens its dining room onto the street in the morning and closes it before the first rain with one press. The same guillotine glazing system fits kitchen pass-throughs, bar fronts and balconies where a swinging or sliding leaf would block a walkway.

What happens if the power goes off?
The panels can still be opened or closed, powered from a portable power bank, so a blackout does not leave the opening stuck.
