Disadvantages of the structures
(03)
Sealing
Gaps in the frame
Leaks and gaps. Rain easily penetrates inside, damaging furniture, equipment, and interior. Be prepared for losses!
Hidden costs – moisture causes corrosion. Saving money on the purchase leads to ongoing expenses
Insects and dirt – gaps allow mosquitoes, dust, and debris to enter. Guests on the terrace or restaurant clients are unlikely to appreciate such a "surprise"
quality standard A L U M I N A N T E
(03)
Sealing
Tight fitting of elements
The patented system of additional seals completely eliminates leaks, providing protection from rain, snow, and wind
Durability – the reliable system lasts for decades without the need for repairs or part replacements
The tight fitting of elements prevents dust, insects, and outdoor debris from entering. Your terrace remains fresh and cozy
Pay attention when choosing pergolas
Disadvantages of the structures
(04)
Exposed mechanism
Short lifespan and unsafe
Exposed mechanism – susceptible to dirt, moisture, and dust, which reduces its lifespan
Unaesthetic design – rough and untidy assembly
Risk of short circuit: Exposed wiring and moisture pose a direct threat of fire or equipment failure

(04)
Closed mechanism
Long lifespan and safe
Closed mechanism: Fully protected from moisture, dust, and dirt, significantly increasing its lifespan
Modern design: Perfect assembly, precise details, and a premium appearance without unnecessary elements
No external fasteners – We do not use screws in load-bearing elements, eliminating the risk of corrosion, leaks and loss of strength
Disadvantages of the structures
(05)
Low-quality motors
Exposed wires
Visible wires: Diminish the appearance and are vulnerable to external impacts
Motors may fail to synchronize, make noise, and break down at the most inconvenient time, such as during rain
Low-quality Chinese motors, two of which are often required for operation, as one cannot handle the load
Quality standard A L U M I N A N T E
(05)
European motors
Safe wiring
Safe wiring: No risk of short circuits – all electrical components are concealed within the housing, preventing contact with moisture
In A L U M I N A N T E systems, powerful SOMFY motors are reliable, quiet, synchronize seamlessly, and operate without failure even in challenging weather conditions
We use only European SOMFY motors, which handle any load and operate flawlessly under all conditions
Pay attention when choosing pergolas
Structural Disadvantages
(06)
Budget Coating
Corrosion and Paint Peeling
Budget Coating: Prone to Corrosion and Peeling
Hidden costs – Moisture, leaks, and corrosion can lead to furniture repairs or even a complete pergola replacement. What seems like a budget-friendly solution may require additional expenses for modifications, replacement of low-quality components, and repairs
White or rusty deposits and loss of aesthetic appeal – common issues with cheap coatings
Quality Standard A L U M I N A N T E
(06)
AkzoNobel Coating

Motorized louvered pergola
ACURA Q27 Twist in short
Q27 Twist is a motorized louvered pergola for villas, cafés and hotel terraces. Its 185 mm aluminum louvers turn 90 degrees to let in air and light, and close into a sealed roof. In the UK and Europe the same system is sold as an adjustable louvre roof.
Modules reach 7 000 by 4 000 mm and carry 220 to 250 kg/m² of snow. The roof runs on a Somfy drive, from a handheld remote or a smart home system.
Sealing
Differential Tech: how the roof seals
A louver roof leaks where the blades meet. Differential Tech is our answer to that: each louver turns along its circumference and presses against the seal of the next one, instead of simply resting on it.
The result is a closed roof that keeps rain, wind and noise out, with the water taken away through gutters inside the beams and down the posts.

FAQ
ACURA Q27 Twist: frequently asked questions
Twist or Q25 Premium?
Twist rotates the louvers only, up to 7 by 4 m per module. Q25 Premium rotates and slides them, opens 85% of the roof and reaches 9 by 4 m.
Is the roof watertight?
Yes, with the louvers closed. Differential Tech presses each louver against the seal of the next one, and the gutters are built into the frame.
Can Twist be wall-mounted?
Yes. Freestanding, wall-mounted and suspended versions are all standard.
What snow load does it carry?
220 to 250 kg/m², depending on the spans.
What if I do not need a motor?
The static versions are Q27 Statico, a closed sealed roof, and Q27 Lamella, fixed open for shade.
